At Better Life Batteries, we specialize in Tesla battery packs directly from electric vehicles (EVs), giving them a second life as reliable, high-capacity energy storage solutions.

A key part of our tech is the communication bridge we’ve engineered between the EV battery and solar inverters. We act as a translator between the Battery Management System (BMS) and supported solar inverters (Fronius, Sungrow, Goodwe, SMA, etc)

This approach allows us to keep the original EV battery intact with the original BMS as it was built from factory to guarantee optimal performance and safety.

1. Intact EV Battery Pack

We use the original Tesla LFP 60 kWh battery without dismantling the modules, ensuring the pack remains in its factory configuration.

This preserves the safety features, balance, and performance built into the original pack.

2. Seamless Inverter Integration

Our battery packs are designed to integrate easily with existing solar inverters commonly available in the market.

We provide guidance on compatible inverters and ensure that the battery communicates effectively with your system to maximize efficiency.

3. Battery Management System (BMS)

The original BMS from the EV remains intact, maintaining cell balancing, temperature monitoring, and safety protocols just as it did in the vehicle.

This means no aftermarket BMS modifications are required, reducing complexity and ensuring manufacturer-level safety standards.

Features Included

Here is a bit more detail about what makes a better life battery... better.

Emergency stop button - this closes the battery contactors isolating the battery supply, allowing emergency services to access the property safely.


Auxiliary Battery Recovery - helping out in the background is monitoring of the auxiliary battery; this power source is used to close big batteries’ main contactors safely. We have included a health monitoring circuit to make sure this battery stays charged and a recovery button to ensure hassle-free startup.

Lightning Protection - did you know that battery-to-inverter communication lines are particularly sensitive to storms? We include lighting and surge protection to keep the battery BMS safe from damage.
